made this cute little blue and white polka dot ruffle pants and matching onesie and burp cloth for an itty bitty lil girl bout to be born....turned out super cute I think!

I have been loving sewing boy stuff this week!! I was a little behind on a couple of shower gifts..so I got one made and  couldn't stop, the itty bitty longalls are sooo cute!! this is a 0-3 month burnt orange, brown and babyish blue longall romper

 Lobster Fest....0-3 month, dark navy blue with Red lobsters and blue and white gingham lining

 and for those people that love hunting, sweet animals on green with brown and white gingham lining in 3-6 month.....

Darn it.....It took a long time, but I sold my very FIRST order!! Thx Daniel!!!! That was a great feeling, too!! I stopped sewing until I start selling, it is tooo addicting for me to buy fabric and sew and then just have it sitting around! :( bummer!! But on a higher note, I am not giving it up!! Just slowing it down till things move on a little bit!!

my clothing names.....

sounds silly, huh?? Well, I had to give my clothes a name or they would all be mumble jumble and I wouldn't know who was what or which one, ...hahaha!! So here it goes why I named what I named...

*LOLA....my home town is LOgansport, LA, enough said?? pretty cute though, right?? and it is a cute little twirl halter top or dress....every little girls loves a great twirl dress!!

*LIL LULU...my MaMa use to always say when a little girl was all dressed up--she was a lil lulu and I just love that for my summer romper

*BLISS....our youngest lil granddaughters middle name is Bliss, so why not name the sweet little elasic neck flutter sleeve dress after her?

*GRACIE....named after Madeline Grace, most of the time she is called Gracie Goose by me and these are some of her favorite shorts

*BELLE...my Bigmama was the most adored person in my life, a true lady through and through.. so the bell bottom pants are named after her...a beautiful person!

*LINDY...was a cousin that I grew up with only at McCormic family reunions!! we lost her at an early age...Lindy Marie... so I named these girly ruffle pants for her!

*Mary Mac....a hometown southern lady that I grew up knowing, the knot dress is named after her, her mom gave me a cute little apron once...and the knot dress has an apron

*VIOLA....my next door across the street neighbor who I loved soooo much, my peasant top/dress is named for her Ms. Viola Caraway

*MARIE...my MaMa's name and she always wore her little blue jacket, so I named the reversible jacket for her

*LUCY...I call all of the girls lucy for some reason, not sure why..but the pillowcase dress has this name now

*JAX...my little grandson Jackson is who these are named for, I make him the overalls and they are sooo cute on him and my dad's name is Jack....so its a lil bit of a mix on the family name!

*Charlie...I had a great grandpa Charlie....the bubble shortall

*OPLE...my grandfather that I never knew, Ople Yates...so I named these pants for him

*FRED....my GODFATHER and someone I dearly loved!! Uncle Fred was the greatest, he worked for NEHI and always brought that truck to the family reunion with bottled drinks on it! The little boys cuff shorts are named for him.

*TAYLOR....this little skirt already had that name, so how fitting to leave it for grand #1, Taylor!!

*JUDITH ELIZABETH....a family friend use to call my mom this name and what better name than for these cute classy little sailor shorts!

*JANE...my aunt jane....there was no other like her, she was the sweetest little thing with her gold/silver shoes and her Avon.......flutter dress

anyway, it may sound cheesy to you, but it truly means a lot to me!! I really love these people and they hold a special place in my heart!

itty bitty dress.....

I just finished making this itty bitty 0-3 month halter dress for a baby shower tomorrow!! It turned out soooo  sweeeet!!!! The modern vintage fabric by Bonnie & Camille was perfect!! love love love it!!!

I was soooo excited when I got that little slip in my post office box to pick up a package!!! :) Awesomeness!! My little box of woven labels has arrived.....I took pictures and then immediately started putting labels and tags on everything!! Great day!

My hangtags finally arrived yesterday and they are beaut-e-mus!! love them!!! and  I looked on the blog and my woven labels have shipped from hong kong!!!! yeah!!!!

 I got all of my holes punched this morning...just gotta figure out what to hang them with!!! (thinking some cute green or blue bakers twine)

My lil Granddaughter, Madeline came over today and I got out all of her sewing 'things'old iron and ironing board and a mini sewing machine *no needle of course* and she just sewed and ironed her lil heart out! She was making me a blanket right here!! It was soooo cute!

...SUMMER ROMPER

I made Madeline a cupcake summer romper and she modeled it for me, she was a little more interested in the choo choo train at the moment though!! But it turned out super cute!!! (pattern by Brownie Goose)

however, i often think of myself like a chameleon--meaning i'm more understanding, easy to get along with (for the most part), great at reading people and try to find a way to relate to everyone I know & meet!  I may be easily persuaded, but that just means I want to be more like the people that I love and want qualities like them that I admire! SILLY & SERIOUS...so many things all rolled into one..they are JUST ME...like an ever changing chameleon.....
BUT a cricket i am....
happily chirping & jumping from one task to the next!!

I was born #2 out of 4 kids. An older sister, a younger sister and my brother who is the baby...we always entertained each other...childhood memories in my heart~ and fairytales & dreams FOREVER in my head!!

But here i am, 41 years old-married to my best friend, Dennis and mother of 3!! I am into my third summer of sewing and loving every minute of it! I started sewing to make cute stuff for my granddaughter, Madeline Grace! But her closet can only hold so much....so HERE I AM...ready to share my love of sewing & photography all rolled into one!! (and to meet new friends, of course!!)
